HI I started the 30 day boot camp in March . Once that was over I did the Perfect Design Series and the Matwork and Cardio dvds. Now I'm doing Meta Omni - I'm on the first level. It's just the cardio I'm tiring of. At the end of a day's work, I can do the half hour muscle design but then 9/10 times I just dread the cardio. Anyone got a suggestion - a good workout dvd which won't feel me with dread.
Hi anonymous! I know exactly how you feel because I feel the same too. If you don’t mind me asking how much weight are you trying to lose? (feel free to email me if you don’t want to post it on here). Some suggestions I would offer right now is if you have access to a treadmill go to the YouTube videos we have posted and watch her treadmill workout. It definitely seems a little bit more fun and easy on the knees. I used to say just do whatever cardio you want but after doing more research I learned that she uses the dance cardio and treadmill workout as a way to keep your smaller muscles from constantly doing the same thing which will lead to lean muscle mass instead of bulkiness. If you start running or using the elliptical (or any continuously repeated movement for a long period of time) you will “undo” all the weaving of the muscles she was putting together.
However, if you have over 50 pounds too lose it is another story because I believe that before you get under the “30 pounds to lose” mark you can do whatever high intensity cardio you would like that will burn fat. Once you get to a certain point I would then switch over to the dance cardio or treadmill workout.
Great blog :) I just came across it!! Could you post some intermediary pics also?
ReplyDeleteYes! I plan too after we complete level 2 :)
ReplyDeleteHI
